2026 Actor Awards: ‘Sinners’ Takes Top Film Honor as ‘The Studio’ and ‘The Pitt’ Dominate TV Categories

Los Angeles, CA (March 2, 2026) – The 2026 Actor Awards, presented by SAG-AFTRA, saw Warner Bros.’ vampire drama “Sinners” claim the prestigious Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. The win solidifies its position as a major contender heading into the final stretch of the awards season, with the Oscars set for March 15. The ceremony, hosted by Kristen Bell for the second consecutive year on Netflix, also celebrated television achievements, with Apple TV’s comedy “The Studio” and HBO Max’s medical drama “The Pitt” earning top ensemble honors.

Film Awards: A Night for ‘Sinners’ and Villainous Turns
In addition to its ensemble win, “Sinners” star Michael B. Jordan took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for his dual performance as bootlegging twins. Director Ryan Coogler made history, becoming the first filmmaker to helm two best ensemble winners, having previously won for 2018’s “Black Panther.”

The lead actress award went to Jessie Buckley for her role as a grieving mother in Focus Features’ “Hamnet.” Supporting performance honors recognized two actors for playing antagonists: Sean Penn for his demented soldier in Warner Bros.’ “One Battle After Another” and Amy Madigan for her literal witch in the same studio’s horror film “Weapons.”

The stunt ensemble award for motion pictures went to Paramount Pictures’ “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning.”

Television Highlights: New Series Make a Strong Debut
On the television side, the satirical comedy “The Studio” was the night’s biggest winner, securing three awards. It won for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, while its stars Seth Rogen and the late Catherine O’Hara were recognized for lead actor and lead actress, respectively. Rogen accepted the posthumous award for O’Hara, who died in January, with an emotional tribute to her generosity and talent.
